Cymorth Llaw Marks 15 years

Bangor based Cymorth Llaw Homecare Services will mark 15 years of domiciliary and nursing care provision later this month.

Founded by former neurological ward sister Janice Hogg, the company was launched in May 2000.

A top 10 Wales Fast Growth 50 company in 2008, the family care agency provides services to both Adults and Children on behalf of Local Authorities, the NHS, private paying individuals as well as other service buyers. With a workforce well in excess of 200 people, the company has grown to become one of North West Wales’ largest and best recognised providers of home care services.

Alongside husband Ken Hogg and sons Ian and Craig, Managing Director Janice said she is ‘absolutely thrilled’ with where the family company stands today, having grown into one of the best recognised and most successful care providers in North Wales in the last 15 years.

In 2005 the company moved to its award winning and purpose built Head Office and Care Worker Training Centre at Parc Menai Business Park in Bangor, to better manage increased demand for the care it provides.

That increase in demand has not slowed and year on year Cymorth Llaw has continued to create many new jobs in the domiciliary care sector as growth across all the services it delivers within Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy continues to impress, adding to the substantial amount of weekly care it already provides to the region.

“It is absolutely fantastic to celebrate our 15th anniversary this month” said Janice. 15 years of service delivery in a challenging sector really is something to be proud of.”

Although the family care agency has changed much in shape and size since its launch, Janice explains that the agency has always remained true to the family values it began with.

“15 years ago we adopted the motto ‘Making a difference to People’s Lives’ and we have never once lost sight of that.

“As a family we have certain core values and that’s reflected in the level of service we provide.

“We have never made promises to people we couldn’t keep and have always delivered exactly what we said we would do right from day one, that being a timely, top quality, value for money care at home service – and that will never change” added Janice.

With a diverse range of services offered by the company and notable organisational expansion since its launch, Janice continued, “Our organisational growth has very much been organic and testament to the exceptional standard of care delivered by all who work at Cymorth Llaw.

“The nature of the daily tasks a professional Home Care Worker is now expected to carry out has changed greatly over the years, as individual care needs have changed with the population living much later into life.

“But Cymorth Llaw has always remained at the forefront of provision in our region because of our attitude toward service management, delivery and a total commitment to quality in care.

“That’s why we have remained the provider of choice for many people in our region, employing the best local people who deliver an unparalleled level of care.

“I am so very proud of those people who wear our yellow uniforms, they are the regions best and I am delighted to celebrate this mile stone of service provision this month. Here’s to the next 15 years of providing care at home” finished Janice.
